What will we do?Each year all fourth grade students in the Lincoln Public School District experience school as it was on the Plains in the 1800s. They dress in period clothing, pack their lunch, and spend the day in a one-room school. When will we leave? We will leave around 9:30-9:45. We will return to McPhee around 2:15-2:30. What can I take along with me?Students will need to bring their lunch, slate rag (a scrap of fabric to erase their slate board), and a cup to drink from. Cups can be a used tin can, measuring cup, or baby food jar. What about eating?Students may bring a lunch from home or get a sack lunch from school. Students are asked to bring lunch items from the time period: hard boiled eggs, fruits, vegetables, chicken, jerkey, etc. Do you need volunteers? We do not require any volunteers. When will I find out more information?More information will be provided as we get closer to our trip! |
